Abstract

This paper focuses on the subject of replenishment of infrastructure in higher education institutions from the perspective of optimal control theory. The situation where an institution has autonomy over structuring its replenishment schedule and the fees that it charges constitute a major source of revenue is studied. Propositions on the pattern of replenishment are stated along with their proofs. The pattern of replenishment can help guide educational planners towards steering up infrastructure in higher institutions.
