EXISTENCE OF FIXED POINT FOR A NEW CLASS

Abstract

In this paper, we introduce a new class of mappings known as $\beta
$-enriched pseudocontractive mappings and proved that the fixed point for
such mappings do exist in the setup of uniformly convex Banach spaces. Our
result is an extension of comparable results in the existing literature.
Some examples are presented to support the main results established in this
paper.
